Around 87 days of school left. I really don't think I can make it.
Life has been so blah latley. School is annoying as hell. Especially Math and Lit, which are 2 important subjects. And I did pretty badly on my Physics test so I have to retake that. And I did bad on my lit essay. I hate junior year. Oh well, at least it's HALF over.
School: Sucks.
Friends: Suck.
Girls: Suck.

| The Christmas Days Entry |

December 23
Went to school. It was pretty good. Exchanged gifts for secret santa. Got Lars and James ceramic bobble heads that are awesome. The video was great. Went home and just chilled and ate cookies that my mom made.
December 24
Slept till about 11:30. It was freaking suhweet. Then I ate lunch. Then at 4 was the Battle of Christmas Even. Green Bay Packers played the Minnesota Vikings. Packers won 34-31. Then we went to Church, which was not that bad. After that we went to my grandparents house. Ate fritillas, the best food ever, lobster, fillet, speghetti, and massive amounts of cookies. Openened presents. I got Volcom beanie, LaCoste cologne, some PJs, and some cash. Then we went home and I watched the South Park Christmas marathon with my fam and my sister gave me her present (Aqua Teen Vol. 3). Then I went to sleeeep.
Christmas
Woke up. Santa had come! Ran downstairs, and opened presents. Got a new football, some sexy volcom and element shirts (one is PINK), some video games, some DVDs, Scene It(the greatest board game ever), and some computer stuff I needed. Then I went nextdoor to give Joey his presents. Him and Christine got me Ren And Stimpy Box Set, which has episodes pre-Nickelodeon and very vulgar and good. Then my Aunt y Uncle came over. Got another LaCoste polo and a lot of cash. My grandparents came over and we ate dinner. After we ate, my other relatives came over for desert. Got more cash and some gift cards. Then I watched SNL and went to sleep.

Okay so today I woke up at 745 after like 20 minutes of sleep. Opened Aunt and Uncle's gift (Cash and a LaCoste polo). Ate. And off to the DMV. Got in line, and waited for about 2 hours. Then the driver guy gets in my car. He makes me parallell park first. Then 3 Point Turn, then Reverse. Then I just drive around a bit, go up a hill, blah blah. He says "Well Chris. Congratulations. You will be receiving your liscense today. Happy Birthday, have a great one." Then I go to school. It was kinda boring. Came home. Got more cash in the mail. Joey, my 3 year old neighbor, rang the bell and brought me his present. And he sang Happy Birthday the 3 year old version. It was great. Ate pizza. Now I'm waiting for my grandparents to come over and have cake and open presents. |

We ordered that Monster last nite. It will be arriving at my
house Friday, and will probably all set up by Saturday nite. We
wont have HD cable until a few weeks tho.

School this weeks gunna be hell. Physics test, math test, essay
draft is due, possibly the essay, Latin test. Oy vey.

Life has been decent lately I guess..
It's almost Christmas. It's almost my Birthday. It's almost a 13 day break from the demon that calls itself Junior Year. So about things...
SCHOOL: Oh God I hate it. Though I got all A's and A-'s first trimester (except lit) I really had to do a LOT of work. School just blows this year.
MUSIC: Gary Hoey is God. I idolize the guy. Monster at guitar, monster at drums. I want a new drumset. OR I wanna paint a design on the one I have..
GIRLS: I should probably just leave this blank. Giving up ALL hope.
CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY: We have an amazing performance lined up. The only problem is we don't yet have a spot and may not get one. GFG
The Halo 2 tourney is this week. My pard is Brian Andrade. Hes a monster, we have a good shot at placin top 3 I'd say. $50 for the Winner. I'd like to win =DD. WEre being gay and using matching names

I think we did an overall awesome job performing yesterday. I was very pleased. Also, I finally overcame my fear and played a drum solo infront of a large crowd. All was good. |

Metallica was last nite. I can't hear, my throat hurts, and I am in massive pain, but its all good.
Left my house at around 5:55. We picked up Carney and went to the Arena. There was some traffic but I was starting to get worried. We got there at about 6:30 and were in spot by 6:45. I got the LAST spot on the Rail right next to the stage.. I was like literally 5 feet away. Anthony was working right near where I was, so that was cool cause he let me take pics, which should turn out pretty awesome. I was talking to him for a bit, and some other MetallicA fans around. Carney was just speechless as to how close we were..
So Godsmack came on at about 7:55. Little bit of a different setlist than last time, I'll remember it was best as I can..
Straight Out of Line- Opening, had lots of energy
Awake- Another awesome song
Facless- I don't like this song that much, but it was OK live cause Sully came over to our side
Keep Away- My favorite song of the night
Bad Religion- Good, but kinda old after hearing it 100000 times
Voodoo - Awesome effects and lighting
Drum Solo- God like drum solo... Sully VS. The drummer
Whatever- Very awesome song
I Stand Alone- Cheesy lyrics, but a crowd favorite
Then there was about a half hour break after Godsmack. The wait was so long. I was talking to 2 guys there that had been to like 20+ MetallicA shows in the past. It was ridiculous. Then on the loudspeaker they played "It's a Long Way to the Top" by AC/DC, which any MetallicA fanatic knows is the song they always play right before coming out.
Nothing can really describe the feeling when The Ecstacy of Gold comes on. You get goosebumps all over and chills down your spine. The video is so eerie, but in an exciting kinda way.
Then MetallicA came out.
They opened with Blackened and James didnt fuck up the intro like last time =D They played a shit load of songs that I had never seen them play live before, so I was really happy. Here's the full setlist/ song reviews:
Blackened- Such an amazing opening song. Tons of energy. James was by us for this song and Lars was opposite our side
Fuel- The pyro for this song is crazy. The flame pillars were so close I was sweating.
The Memory Remains- A HUGE surprise, and one of my favorite late MetallicA songs. So happy they played this.
Wherever I May Roam- Another goodie! I had never seen this song live either, and when the intro came on I was like "Wow this is an awesome setlist already."
King Nothing- The ONE song I was hoping they'd play that they didn't last time from Load was this. SO awesome, and the crowd was really into singing it.
The Unforgiven- My co-favorite song of the night. This was just amazing. So much energy, and a little differnt than the album version, slightly heavier bridge.
The God That Failed- Talk about a shock. 3rd time they've played this in the last 10 years. One of favorites as a kid, and still a great song. Especially live, Rob nailed the base part great.
St. Anger- Always awesome live.
Fade To Black- First time I had seen Fade to Black live. It was really awesome. They paused right before the heavy part and Kirk came right over to us and looked RIGHT at me and was like "Sing it!" right before the "No One can save me but mysely now but its tooo late".
Master Of Puppets- I was surprised to see Puppetz at this point in the set, but I think i liked it better here. More energy from the band, seeing as they were less tired than when its played later on. The whole crowd sings the solo which sounds kinda funny.
Fight Fire With Fire- A good song. Fast and heavy, but I woulda rather seen Damage Inc. Right after Fight Fire W/ Fire, James came over and tossed his pick out. I knocked it down and somehow grabbed it without getting trampled on..

Disposable Heroes- My favorite MetallicA song ever. Nuff said. Sounded awesome. And as soon as Lars started to play it on the Drums I yelled out DISPOSABLE FUCKIN HEROES!!!! and nobody realized it was that until me and the 2 people next to me started yelling it. James was right near us and he heard it and was like "YOU FANS KNOW THIS SHIT?! ITS A REAL OLD ONE! FINISH THIS LINE FOR ME! DISPOSABLE?!" "HEEEEEEEROOOSSSSSSSSS!" DODODODODODODODODODODODOOOOOOOOOOP
Nothing Else Matters- Always a classic live song
Sad But True- Different spot, but still awesome
One- Full Metal Jacket intro. Pyrotechics going off. So much smoke my sweatshirt smells like gunpowder. I got pieces of firecrackers in my hair. But at least it got us pumped for the song. One is always MetallicA's best performance wise live song. Its insane.
Enter Sandman- Always a classic live song. Niiiiiice pyro for this song too

Last Caress / Green Hell- One of my favorite of their covers
Seek And Destroy- FINNALLY!!! SOMETHING FROM KILL EM ALL! Seek and Destroy raped, and Kirk played the solo on our side of the stage, which was awesome. Lars's wife and kids helped on this song too =D
Then before leaving, Anthony gave me the setlist and a few extra picks. Awesome night. So happy they played stuff I mostly hadn't heard. |

So the Yankees lost to the Red Sox.. I didnt think it was possible but it happedn.
Oh well, at least my NL team still as a chance. Let's go ASTROS!
Clemens is pitching tonite, I think he can win this for them, and they should have no problem beating Boston in the series with their stellar pitching and solid offense. I'm going to find my 10 year old Astro hat and wear it. Maybe it'll bring them some luck. |
